We are currently looking for an experienced Foreman to join our team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Foreman
In your role, you will be responsible for running a site and coordinating crews of Journeyman Carpenters, Carpenter Apprentices and Labourers.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Supervising job sites and crew activity following direction from the Project Manager and Site Superintendent;
Managing and coordinating the activity of crews in order to meet determined work schedules;
Read blueprints to determine project specifications and construct formwork according to drawings;
Ensuring safety codes and regulations are being correctly followed and adhered to
Ensuring erected structures have been constructed to code and engineering requirements
Resolving all site-related problems and making recommendations to improve worksite efficiency
Maintaining project records, including approving time sheets for all crew members
Requirements:
Education: Preference given to those possess a valid trade certificate;
Experience: Minimum of 5 years carpentry experience; 2 years of which were in a supervisory role;
Skills: Ability to read blueprints; Calculate heights, openings and bulkheads; Construct concrete forms; Experience with high-end residential architectural; Placing and Finishing experience a bonus.
Other: Must possess a valid driver’s license and have vehicle
The Details:
Terms of Employment: Full-Time
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
Location of Work: Will be working at various job sites in and around the Greater Vancouver and Lower Mainland area

Duties and responsibilities will include a variety of tasks:
** Backing & blocking, formwork and parapet framing.
** Build panels, footings, retaining walls and stairs
** Read and interpret blueprints
** Mentor Apprentice Carpenters
** Plan timelines and meet deadlines
** Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
** experience with framing, formwork, finishing;
** you must have transport and be willing to travel to multiple worksites within the lower mainland;
** you must participate in and adhere to Scenicridge’s Code of Conduct and Safety Rules;
** demonstrated ability to adjust to work-related demands;
** OFA II would be considered an asset.

We are currently looking for a labour to join our team.
We are seeking energetic hard working employees who can take their job seriously.
Inexperienced candidates with appropriate qualifications will also be considered.
– Should have some knowledge of residential renovations (finishing, framing, painting, tiling)
– Should be personable and reliable with good communication skills
– min 2 years of experience related to renovation such as finishing, painting, tiling is an asset.
– Must have general knowledge of basic tools used in the construction trades
– Must work well with others and also be able to work unsupervised
– Must be able to safely lift, carry and move standard construction material and tools
– Must be punctual
99% of our work is from referrals and we want you to take pride in that and keep that going with us. A positive attitude toward maintaining high standards for work ethics is a must.
We normally don’t work on weekends, holidays and evenings.
